Volunteering with HCHS

Compassionate, dedicated volunteers are a vital part of our organization and they enable us to continue our work to save lives. With animal care and adoptions being so resource-intensive, it would be impossible to fulfill the mission without them. The HCHS has a commitment to the people and pets we serve and we ask for an equally strong commitment from our volunteers. All HCHS volunteers must submit an application and undergo an orientation process.

Submitting an application is the first step. Once received, an email will be sent to the address you provide for scheduling an orientation. Your application will be kept on file for 60 days to give ample time for you to register for a volunteer orientation session. Volunteer placement is based on our needs and your availability and interests.

Please Note:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • This program is NOT for those who are completing hours for a school or court community service requirement. To inquire about school related volunteering please email us at info@henryhumane.com
